Terms and Conditions of Product Warranty

To activate the warranty, an online warranty registration must be completed via https://eshop-fbhk.fujifilm.com/onlineshop within 30 days from the date of the purchase of the printer and any incomplete information will deem the warranty null and void.

Subject to the following Terms and Conditions, this printer is warranted for one (1) year from the date of purchase (“warranty period”) against defective materials and manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover consumables.

1. This warranty is valid only for the printer sold by FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong Limited (“FUJIFILM BI”) in Hong Kong.
2. This warranty covers repair services and replacement of any parts proven to be defective due to defective workmanship or materials
3. FUJIFILM BI reserves the right to void this warranty should we find:
   • Any unauthorised tampering with, disassembly of, service repair, alteration, or modification to the printer.
   • Misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, pollution, external electrical fault, abnormal voltage or usage of generator, fire, lightning, natural disasters and other Acts of God.
   • Improper use or connection to incompatible equipment, software or memory.
   • Use of non-FUJIFILM BI printer supplies or consumables or the use of FUJIFILM BI supplies not specified for use with this printer.
   • Failure to perform printer maintenance and cleaning as prescribed in published product materials.
   • Use of the product in an environment not meeting the operation specifications set forth in the product's documentation.
   • Failure to properly prepare and transport the product as prescribed in published product materials.
4. If FUJIFILM BI agrees to provide service and replacement parts under the circumstances in No. 3 above, such service and parts will be chargeable even during the warranty period.
5. This warranty does not cover the following items or services (whichever applicable):
   • Toner cartridge / Ink cartridge / Toner Bottle.
   • Fuser Assembly / Fuser.
   • Print Drum.
   • IBT (commonly known as “Belt”)/ Transfer Roll Unit/ Maintenance Kit.
   • Black Developer and Colour Developer.
   • Fuser Oil Kit.
   • Toner Collector / Box / Bottle.
   • Feed Roll/ Paper Roller Kit/ Document Feed Parts.
   • Staple Cartridge.
   • Installation of replacement items that are considered customer replaceable.
   • Support of software not supplied by FUJIFILM BI.
   • Provision of software or firmware updates or upgrades.
   • Exceeding the maximum print volume referenced in published product materials.
   • Normal wear and tear including engine end life.
   • All consumable supplies are varied from model to model. 
6. In the event the defective printer is beyond repair, a replacement unit will be given based on the below terms and conditions:
   • The replacement unit could be a brand new unit or a like to like unit. If the specific model is no longer available in the market, FUJIFILM BI reserves the full right to determine the appropriate and equivalent model as a replacement unit.
   • The replacement unit does not include Consumable Items, Document Pack, AC Power Cord and peripherals.
   • Any replacement unit will only just inherit the warranty period from the unit purchased by the customer.
   • Under any circumstances, FUJIFILM BI reserves the right to put on hold any replacement unit for a further investigation if necessary.
7. Extra Charges will apply for on-site service areas i.e. Outlying Island/Restricted Area/Airport/Lantau Island exclude Tung Chung
8. FUJIFILM BI reserves the rights to change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
9. Except as expressly provided to the contrary herein, FUJIFILM BI:
   1. Excluded all terms and conditions, warranties, undertakings, inducements, or representations whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise relating in any way to FUJIFILM BI printer; and
   2. Is not under liability to the customer in respect of any loss, damage, injury, claims, demands, costs or expenses however caused, which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise in respect of the supply or use of the FUJIFILM BI printer or the negligence by FUJIFILM BI or any failure of omission on the part of FUJIFILM BI to comply with any of these terms and conditions.
10. Registered warranty is non-transferable.
11. FUJIFILM BI reserves all rights to request for proof of purchase with details on purchase dates, product model and serial number before accepting liability for any warranty claim. Customer will need to produce the proof of warranty registration (in the format of e-mail or printed copy) and/ or proof of purchase. customer who is unable to provide the related proof must pay FUJIFILM BI for the costs arising from the repair and/or replacement services including but not limited to labour, parts and transportation fees.

In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and Chinese version of the Terms and Conditions of the Product Warranty, the English version shall prevail.
